We were planning on staying at the WL with our girls 5 and 3 in 6/10 Now we have a promotion to stay at the Poly. Is it worth the extra money to be on the monorail? Which has a better pool for kids? What is the time to get to MK by boat from WL? Thanks

    HI Daphne!

What a great choice to have to make! While the monorail is a wonderful treat, our family chooses the Wilderness Lodge over the Polynesian as our favorite!

The atmosphere at the Wilderness Lodge just makes us feel like we are truly on vacation. We love the quieter nature of the lobby where its easy to find a spot to sit and enjoy. There are many hidden gems throughout the lodge - like a small fireplace and couches tucked away on an upper floor.

The kids will be sure to love activities like cookie decorating and rubber duck races. There is always something going on for the little ones to enjoy!

The boat ride to the Magic Kingdom is a great way to travel. Many times you won't even need to fold or collapse strollers before you board the boat. The ride itself is very quick, maybe about 10 min or so. Along the way you'll get a unique perspective on the monorail, as you pass below the tracks as you navigate to the park. Often times the line for the boat is much shorter than the monorail line at park closing time.

I hope this helps you to decide! I know you'll have a great trip no matter where you end up staying!
