Planning on staying at one of the value resorts, can I leave the theme parks and return to my room, say for a nap, and still get back into the parks on the same day? Or do I have to buy the park hopper option with my tickets?

Melinda, to me that is one of the perks of staying at a Disney property hotel! On a hot day, we love to go back to the hotel in the afternoon for a swim and a rest.  You do not need a park hopper pass to re-enter the same park in the same day. The park hopper allows you to visit various theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney Hollywood Studios and the Animal Kingdom) on the same day.

As an aside, if you're going to sit by the pool in the afternoon, you might want to check out the pool activities at the All Star Music, no matter which value resort you're staying at. They have all kinds of activities and contests for the young and young at heart!

    Have a magical vacation!
