Yolanda,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
My family is a big fan of the complimentary
Disney Resort Transportation services. Whether we are soaring off to
Disney's Hollywood Studios on the
Disney Skyliner, sailing to
EPCOT on the
Friendship boats, gliding on the
monorail to the
Magic Kingdom Park, or even shuttling in a
bus to
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, we find many of the rides to be attractions unto themselves!
The general rule is that transportation to and from a park will run from one hour prior to the park's posted opening time, to an hour after posted closing time. This should give you enough time to get to your magical destination. You can expect a new bus, boat, or monorail to arrive at least every 20 minutes or so, though it can be more frequent than that. The Skyliner runs a bit differently, with a constant flow of cars, so there is always a new car loading with passengers.
BONUS TIP #1Now a bus may not sound exciting, but Disney has been updating their fleet, so you will find them to be a great way to get around. Many now have USB charging ports placed throughout the bus for those cell phone battery emergencies!
BONUS TIP #2
While it is not part of the complimentary transportation options, Disney did just announce the return of the
Disney Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft on June 29th! It is a real "WOW" when that polka-dot van pulls up to whisk you away to the magic!
Write me back if you have any follow-up questions. I love to answer questions about how to get from Point A to Point B!
Have a Magical Vacation!Doug
