We are planning on staying at Fort Wilderness campground. 1) Is there shower and bathrooms avalible? 2) if we rent the golf cart, can we drive it to the theme park parking lots? How close is the Best Friends Pet Hotel to the campground? Thanks!

Hello there, Carol! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort features much of the rustic fun found in camping while managing to provide the outstanding amenities Walt Disney World Resort is known for! This resort is just a short distance from the Magic Kingdom and is home to a variety of wild flora and fauna. Fortunately, though, Guests have access to bathroom amenities at various Comfort Stations found throughout the property. Here, you may bath, have access to washing and drying machines, and grab ice for your campsite.

Guests that choose to rent golf carts may only use them while on the property of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort so you will not be able to access theme park parking with your golf cart. However, you will have access to Bus Transportation which will whisk you away and get you to the theme parks in a jiffy!

Best Friends Pet Care is the perfect place for your pet to relax and unwind while the family is enjoying their vacation! The pet care facility is approximately 10 minutes away from Disney's Fort Wilderness so you will be there in no time at all!

I hope this information assists you in continuing to plan for your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!
