We are planning on staying at a del. res. all of the pools seem to be outside. If we go during early winter are the pools open? Is there an inside pool somewhere we can use? Is there a store on the WDW prop. to bring snacks back to the room?

All the pools at the WDW are outside and they are all heated and quite warm year round. I just got home from 8 days at WDW (Feb 2008). It was warm enough for us to spend a day at the Typhoon Lagoon water park as well as several afternoon swimming at our resort's pool. I have also been in WDW pools in December and January with no problem. Yes, there is a possibility that you face a cold snap during your trip, but I have seen many kids in the WDW pools even when the outside temperature is in the low 50s.

Every resort at WDW has snack area in the gift shop where you can find basic snacks like pretzels, cookies, milk, soda, juice, nuts, etc. The resorts that have Disney Vacation Club villas on site have much a much larger selection of food available in their shops, including fruit, cheese, bread, pasta, frozen dinners, soup, and so on.
