    We are planning a stay at the Port Orleans Riverside with 2 Kids (9, 11) Jan. 20. Can we choose the area to stay in - Alligator Bayou or Magnolia Bend - Which do you suggest?

    Hi Cornelis!

    My family loved our stay so much at Disney's Port Orleans--Riverside, that we've planned a second trip back to this beautifully landscaped resort! We enjoyed Ol' Man Island pool, and the great offerings at Riverside Mill are plentiful and delicious. You will truly enjoy your time amongst the southern comfort.

    When booking your vacation, you can request either the Mansions or Alligator Bayou by calling (407) WDISNEY and having it noted on your reservation. Guest services does their best to accommodate all guests when possible. Personally, we have always chosen the mansions, particularly the Magnolia Bend section of the resort. I would recommend Magnolia Terrace (building 85) as it is in close proximity to the East Depot bus stop, a short walk over a bridge to Ol' Man Island and to the marina and Riverside Mill. Another building which affords a water view and close proximity to Riverside Mill (over a bridge) is Oak Manor (building 90). It is close to the quiet pools, and a small walk to a bus stop. We've stayed in both, with our preference being Magnolia Terrace.
