We are planning to stay in one of the value resort (either Pop Century or AS Movies). Is it worth the extra money to book a preferred room?

    Amy,

Great question about preferred rooms in Value resorts. The real value is proximity. These rooms get you closer to the resort's main hall. This gets you closer to the food court, convenience store, baggage and desk services, and most importantly, the bus depot.

If you have a member of the family for whom walking is a difficulty, then it is a great thing to do.

Otherwise I would save my money. In a recent stay at All-Star Sports I had a regular room in the "Tennis" section, and I never felt like I had more than a 5-7 minute walk to the main building. Of course I had no kids in tow, but even if I had my 1 and 3 year old I would not have minded.

In the Pop Century I would prefer to be looking out on the lake. In All-Star Movies I want to be close to the main pool, but not overlooking it (that can make afternoon naps difficult, with the noise that it creates).

I hope that this helps! If I can assist with any follow-up questions, feel free to ask me directly from my bio page!

    Have a magical vacation!
