Hi! Planning to stay at Animal Kingdom from 05/08 to 05/12 t. First time coming with 2 small kids (3 yr old boy and 7 yr old girl). Any and all advice would be appreciated. I'm especially interested in the Dining Plans that let the kids eat with characters

    Hi, Saba!

Congratulations on your first visit to Walt Disney World! You're going to love staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge! My family enjoys this resort so much that we stayed there in December and we're returning again next month. Not-to-be-missed activities at Animal Kingdom Lodge are wildlife viewing with night-vision goggles, roasting marshmallows over the Jambo House campfire and nightly African storytelling around Ogun's Firepit. Be sure to pick up a current schedule of activities at the Front Desk when you check in. You also won't want to miss the wonderful buffet at Boma - Flavors of Africa.

Dining with Disney Characters is definitely one of the highlights of any vacation to Walt Disney World! You do not need to have a Disney Dining Plan to make reservations at the Character Dining locations in the parks and at the resort hotels. Click on the highlighted link above to be directly connected to the online dining reservations system. Since your trip is coming up in just a few weeks, you'll need to go ahead and make your dining reservations now.

Here are some of my favorite Character Dining spots at Walt Disney World:

    1. Cinderella's Royal Table - Magic Kingdom Park
    2. 1900 Park Fare - Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
    3. Chef Mickey's - Disney's Contemporary Resort
    4. Tusker House Restaurant (Donald's Dining Safari at Breakfast and Lunch) - Animal Kingdom Park
    5. The Crystal Palace - Magic Kingdom Park

If you'd like more information on any of these dining locations or any other assistance planning your trip, please send me more questions!
