I am in the planning stage for a trip to WDW in 2009. I am taking my mom with me & possible foster child. Would like to know if something comes up at the last minute, will I be able to adjust my reservation to add additional person or remove a person

    The Moms love early planners!

I've had to change the number of people in my dining party numerous times over the years. We unexpectedly ran into friends at WDW; my parents decided to join us in Florida; my husband had to take a business call during meal time and couldn't eat with us; friends that we had planned to dine with changed their plans; etc.

Most of the time, the restaurants will work with you on changing the party size if the change is just up or down by a person or two. (If you have a reservation for three people and you show up with a dozen, then that's a different story.) My suggestion would be for you to make the reservation for the maximum size you think your party will be. In my experience it is easier for the restaurant staff to find accommodations for a smaller party than to try to wiggle in an extra. For a look at a longer answer to this question, click here.
