Planning Spring 2014 trip 4 adults and 4 children, deciding March, April or May. Using weather and crowds to decide. Want to avoid crowds, use pools and get the best deal. We have visited in al 3 months in previous years, not sure what is best. TY.

Hi Jonathan!  Thanks for visiting the Mom's Panel!  You are very wise to take into consideration the weather and crowds when planning your Walt Disney World Vacation! I also like to visit in the warmer months when the kids can really enjoy the pools!  Based on the three months that you are considering, I would recommend traveling in early to mid May. The unofficial website allears.net features a Historical Attendance Levels Chart which lists Mid March through Late April as "highest attendance" and Late April through Early June (except Memorial Day Weekend) as "moderate attendance." Early March is also considered "moderate attendance."  My family traditionally avoids planning our Disney vacations in March and April which is a popular time to visit due to Spring Break Holidays most often resulting in increased crowds. I have also found that rates are traditionally higher during Peak Season, which includes Spring Break Holidays. Unfortunaley, I am unable to take my children out of school now that they have reached those higher grades, but would not hesitate to visit in early May again if it was possible. I hope this information helps! Please feel free to write back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a Magical 2013 Trip, Jonathan!
    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
