Hi Elena!
How fun to bring your little fellow to the Walt Disney World Resort for his big day! We have been able to visit during quite a few birthdays for my children and each of them has been extra special. I may even know a certain grown-up kid who made sure to plan a visit around her big 40th birthday!
Be sure to pick up your complimentary Celebration Button at
Guest Relations upon arrival, Elena. Not only is it a great souvenir from your day, but your son will have Cast Members and even other Guests wishing him a happy birthday! If you’ll be dining at a table service location during your day, did you know you can
special order a cake for your son? This could be the perfect ending for that celebration meal.
Once a child turns 3 years old, a paid youth admission ticket is required. If you are Florida residents, you can purchase your son a ticket at the
Florida resident rate. If you haven’t already, create a
My Disney Experience Account. If you are a Florida resident and logged in to My Disney Experience, you’ll then be able to view the current pricing for Florida resident tickets.
Have you considered celebrating a day or two early? You would still be welcome to pick up a Celebration button, even if it were a little bit before your son’s birthday. If your son were still only 2 years old, he would not need a paid admission ticket to the park. You could use that money towards that special dining reservation, the custom cake I mentioned, or an extra gift from the
Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A.
I hope this helps, Elena! Please let us know what additional questions you have as you plan this exciting visit for your son!
