Hello, we are planning a sister's trip and wanted to stay at the DVC Poly deluxe suite room with a view of the lagoon in hopes of seeing fireworks. My sister needs to use an EVC are there any rooms in that class that don't have an elevator?

    Aloha, Deborah!

Mahalo (which means "thank you" in Hawaiian) for visiting planDisney with your question.  How exciting that you are planning a stay at Disney's Polynesian Villas and Bungalows.  Our family stayed in a Deluxe Studio at this Resort last year, and it was a wonderful way to enjoy the home-away-from-home amenities of the DVC Resorts while being immersed in the spirit of Aloha and the magic of Disney.

Deborah, I just double-checked with Guest Services. The new and shiny Island Tower, with the beautifully designed rooms and hints of my favorite princess Moana, and all of the buildings with the Deluxe Studios have elevators in them.  So you should have no problem accessing your room with a view with an EVC.  If your sister requires any additional accessible features, you can search for accessible-specific rooms by clicking the "Accessible Rooms" box when searching for your Disney Resort Hotel. There are some at Disney Polynesian Villas and Bungalows.

Now, Deborah, during your visit, be sure to keep an eye out for the Electrical Water Pageant on the Seven Seas Lagoon. It plays classic Disney tunes while performing an adorable light parade on the water in front of each of the Disney Resorts around the lake.  Show times are between 8:45 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. and it lasts about 15 minutes at each Resort. I recommend grabbing a drink and a spot on one of the chairs by the beach as you wait for its special appearance. It is a tale as old as time, as it is one of the original Walt Disney World shows and has remained largely unchanged since its debut in 1971.  As a fan of Disney nostalgia, this is one of my favorite things to see at this Resort.

I hope this helps you, Deborah! If you have any further questions, surf back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you. After all, you are part of our 'ohana. 'Ohana means family, and that means nobody gets left behind.

A Hui Hou (that means "until we meet again" in Hawaiian,)
