Hi Laura. This is always a fun question! Here are my picks:
VALUE - All Star Music is our new favourite. My nine-year old daughter loved the daily pool-side activities which include dance lessons, volleyball, contests, bingo, night-time movies the kids (and adults) watch from in the pool and so much more. We just returned from Port Orleans Riverside, and she asked if we could go back to All-Star Music next time instead.
MODERATE - Caribbean Beach Resort, with its newly updated rooms and fantastic pool area, comes highly recommended (by me)! If you're traveling with a pirate fan, you might want to consider upgrading to one of the newly designed Pirates of the Caribbean themed rooms. The newly re-done pool area has something for everyone, with two slides, a zero-entry kiddie pool with its own slide and fountains.
DELUXE - Although the monorail hotels (Contemporary, Grand Floridian and Polynesian resorts) are long-time favourites, my vote is for either the Beach or Yacht Club. The pool is incredible, and we love being able to walk or boat to Epcot and the Hollywood Studios. Having the Boardwalk in your backyard makes for super fun evenings, with great dining choices and lots of fun activities.
For us, the regular dining plan is ideal, and we always seem to have a few extra credits at the end. If you are planning to do many two credit meals, then you should consider the
deluxe plan. Be sure to see if your planned dates qualify for the newest promotion -
Free Dining! This great deal includes the Disney Dining Plan for your party, and you can upgrade to the Deluxe Dining Plan by paying the difference.
Have a magical vacation!
