Hi, Joyce! You are an awesome mom. This is the nicest thing to do for your family.
Disney Vacation Club offers two nice lounges for members and their guests. You do need to have your DVC membership card and a photo ID to access the lounges, but not to worry. Especially with the growth of
Disney Springs, there are lounges as far as the eye can see. Okay, maybe not that far, but they'll be able to find one when they need one.
Fans of Indiana Jones will enjoy stepping into
Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar at Disney Springs. Here, they can discover the Fountain of Youth (an oh so incredible vodka drink) or grab a bite to eat. They feature some great appetizers in a really fun atmosphere.
Speaking of fun, one of my favorites is
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The whole family is welcome before 8 P.M., and it becomes an over 21 destination after then. There are all sorts of surprises in store, along with great tropical concotions and a delicious menu.
Did someone say menu? Oh yeah, it was me! They can drop by
Territory Lounge at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. I think they have the best appetizer menu anywhere at Walt Disney World, with a Chardonnay fondue, tuna tataki, and a really awesome charcuterie.
I've only scratched the surface. There are lounge options that offer elegant spaces or live music and boisterous fun. Whatever they're looking for, I think they'll find.
Thanks for your question, Joyce!
