Planning to sail the Dream in June 2014. Is it true that the sooner you book the "cheaper" it is...the more full the ship gets the prices go up?

Welcome aboard April! I hope you find the perfect time to book your Disney Dream cruise for next year. It is true that the earlier you book with Disney, the more opportunity you have for early booking discounts. As the ships fill up, the less expensive rooms will be gone and your options will be less. Booking early helps you lock in the lowest price. If you do see that your rate has gone down once you've booked, give Disney Cruise Line a call and see what they can do.

I have found that right when Disney announces their new itineraries, it is a great time to look ahead at those dates and book for the best price. You'll have more options to choose from as well. You might also consider booking your cruise through a travel agent that offers an onboard credit.

Keep an eye out for if Disney offers Kids Sail Free promotions. The Kids Sail Free promotions tend to be offered on off-season times, so I doubt you'll find one for the Dream in June, but if your travel is flexible, this might be something to watch for. In fact, we had a Mexican Riviera cruise booked on the Wonder for February last year, and when the Kids Sail Free promotion came out, we were able to adjust our reservation to include that at a significant price drop!

The best deal is to book your next Disney cruise while you're on one of Disney's ships. You'll find that the 10% off, only 10% deposit and very nice onboard credit offer will be some of the best out there. So, keep that in mind for your second cruise (and I promise, once you sail with Disney you'll want to do it again!)

Happy planning, April! Please let me know once you've booked your cruise if you have any other questions!
