Hello Sierrah,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you brought your question to us and that you are planning a
Disney Cruise Line vacation. We love helping other Guests navigate their plans.
I have great news for you! Currently, the Disney Wish sails out of
Port Canaveral and returns to Port Canaveral at the end of each cruise. So, there is no need to book an extra flight. When sailing aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship departing from Port Canaveral, I usually fly into Orlando International Airport. You can arrange for
Ground Transportation from the airport to Port Canaveral through Disney Cruise Line for an added fee. If you would like, you can also book your air travel through Disney Cruise Line.
To discuss specific options, call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532.
Each Disney Wish itinerary makes a stop at
Disney Castaway Cay, a private island just for Disney Cruise Line Guests. It is one of my favorite ports of call! I love relaxing on the beach, exploring the snorkel lagoon, riding a bike around the island and enjoying the delicious food. After a great day, it is so easy to head back to the ship in the afternoon. It is like a little piece of paradise right outside the ship’s door!
Sierrah, I think you will love the Disney Wish.
Disney’s Rotational Dining is one of my favorite features of a Disney cruise and the
Disney Wish offers magical options. Experiencing the amazing themed restaurants aboard the Disney Wish makes each evening a special event of its own. The ambiance and theming of each of the restaurants are spectacular and the food is so delicious. And here is a little tip for you, if you can’t decide between two items on a menu, you can request both!
I hope this information has been useful, Sierrah. If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your vacation, please write back, and allow us to assist you.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
