I am planning to register Walt Disney World Marathon Weekennd next January 2025. Just to be ready for day of registration I have a doubt. May I pay with debit card? or Paypal? Thanks for your help.

    Hey there, Griselda!

Thanks for racing by with this important question. I'm so excited to hear you're planning to conquer a runDisney event during the 2025 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. Whether you're hoping to complete the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon, or even one of the multi-course Challenges, you'll soon discover that every mile truly is magic.

Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is scheduled for January 8 - January 12, 2025, and the registration window is fast approaching! Club runDisney members will have access beginning April 2, 2024, with General Registration opening on April 9, 2024. I've only completed one runDisney event to date, but I still remember feeling excited and a little nervous as I waited to complete the checkout process. You're smart to plan ahead to make the process as seamless and quick as possible.

Participants can register using either a credit card, Disney Rewards card or a Disney gift card as their method of payment. PayPal does not appear to be an accepted method of payment at this time. Keep in mind that only one form of payment can be used per transaction. If you'd like to pay using Disney Gift Cards you can combine multiple cards into one online at disneygiftcard.com. I recently walked another guest through the process so be sure to read through my tips if you'd like to go this route.

Once you've secured your preferred race be sure to book your stay at your favorite Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Complimentary transportation is available between the resorts and the events which will save you the hassle of navigating closed roads and dealing with parking in those early morning hours. If you're bringing spectators along with you they can also utilize the buses to head toward the finish line a little later. Make sure they bring you some celebratory snacks!

I hope this helped Griselda. Please don't hesitate to come back and see us again with more planning questions! We're always glad to help.

Chase the wind and touch the sky!
