    I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend on our next visit (Jan 23). My idea is to ride Characters In Flight at Downtown Disney and propose at the top. Do you think this is a good spot? how can I enhance the experience? Thanks a lot! I'm very excited!

    Jaime,

    I proposed at Walt Disney World, and believe me, it is a fun place to do it!

    I like your choice of venues, so I would go for it. Here are a few "add-on" ideas;

    • Do it at night, when the views are on the romantic side
    • Try to time your trip to coincide with the fireworks at Epcot. Call ahead to see if they run that late on the night in question.
    • Consider tying the ring to your clothes or belt loop. You are way up high, over the water, and if you fumbled it, you probably would never find it. Or tie it to a Mickey doll to give her as a proposal gift.
    • Have a nice dinner at a Downtown Disney restaurant before (if you are timing to the fireworks) or after, to make it a perfect night. Write me back with food preferences for some ideas.
    • Have an alternate plan in place. Characters in Flight will be grounded if the weather is not good for a trip, so you want to have other plans just in case.
    Write me back with a follow-up questions, and we can plot a bit more!

    Have a magical vacation!
