We were planning on going to the Polynesian to watch the Electrical Water Pageant and Fireworks from the beach. Is that still possible with the Bungalows there? And if so, how much space is there? Thanks for helping me plan a magical visit with my family.

    Hi Kim!

The beach at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a great location to watch Wishes and The Electrical Water Pageant. There is still a lovely beach area between the new Disney Vacation Club Polynesian Bungalows and the boat dock that offer a good viewing area and plenty of room to enjoy the beach even with a large group.  While the Wishes music is not currently played on the beach, you’ll have no problem enjoying the music from the Electrical Water Pageant as it floats by.

This beach area also offers Movies Under the Stars in the evenings. I recommend grabbing a Dole Whip or Dole Whip Float from the new Pineapple Lanai to make the evening’s movie even sweeter. The Pineapple Lanai is located just off the lobby of the Great Ceremonial House. If you are in the mood for something more grown up, be sure to check out Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. On my most recent visit I was able to stop by this new and exciting location. Named after Trader Sam the headhunter from the famous Jungle Cruise, and featuring exotic drinks in souvenir containers, it is definitely worth a visit! If you prefer to watch the evening festivities from somewhere other than the beach, Wishes can be seen from Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace just outside the lounge.

I hope you have a truly magical vacation, Kim. Let us know if there are any additional questions that we can help you with as you prepare for your July vacation.

    Happy Planning!
