We are planning to be at the parks 11/30-12/05. Since this is suppose to be a slower time, is it necessary to make dinning reservations?

    Hi Eileen,

That is a fantastic time to visit Disney World as the holiday events and decorations are in full swing and, you are correct, the crowds are generally much smaller than you will find a week earlier or a few weeks later.

Personally I encourage guests to make advance dining reservations no matter when you are staying at Disney. Many of the Disney restaurants are extremely popular and seating is limited. There are a number of local Floridians that often enjoy coming just for the day or dinner. Don't forget, even when the parks seem less crowded, there are still a large number of people at Disney and they all need to eat. The ideal meal times are very popular no matter how large the crowds are and often these fill well in advance. If you are open to eating at various times and do not mind which location then you most likely will have no problem finding something open on each day, however I think it is always better to have your reservation in advance and know that your preferred location and time is waiting for you.

Reservations can be made by calling 407-939-3463. Don't forget most restaurants allow you to cancel on the same day, so if your plans change or you happen to find an opening some other place that you would prefer, you can cancel at that time.

    Have a great time!
