I am planning a one week trip with my family. If I am planning a 7 day trip, what's a fair amount of park hopper tix to add to my package? Do we need park hopper tickets to get in/out of magic kingdom? We will hopefully be staying at the POR. Than

Hi, Antonia!  Let me start with the park hoppers.  You do not need a park hopper if you enter a park in the morning, leave during the day, and come back to the same park.  As long as you come back to the same theme park, you don't need a park hopper.

As for how many days you'll need, it depends on your family.  I would allow at least one day at each theme park.  If you are going to do the water parks, you may want to build in two days for that.  You're already at six days just with those added in.  My family might do each of the four theme parks once, choose one water park to do one day, then visit DisneyQuest or Downtown Disney in the evening, and then add a second day at either EPCOT or the Magic Kingdom, since those are the family favorites.

If you need a down day, to just do the pool and hang out at the resort, and you don't plan on water parks, I'd probably do at least five days in the parks.  It would give you a good amount of time to see most of the popular attractions.

I hope this helps you to decide!
