I am planning an October vacation 2020. I want to utilize a free dining plan. If I stay in a moderate resort will it offer a standard dining plan. If only a counter service meal, can it be upgraded?

    Hey there, Scott!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you have a SPOOKtacular vacation to look forward to at the Walt Disney World Resort in 2020! Fall is a BOO-tiful time to visit "The Most Magical Place on Earth!"

Scott, my family enjoyed the Disney Dining Plan on our most recent stay. I spent months looking over menus deciding how to best utilize our entitlements since there are so many fantastic Table and Quick-Service options. It all paid off during our vacation because we feasted on some delicious food! If free dining is available and your package includes accommodations at a Moderate or Value Resort, the Quick-Service Disney Dining Plan will be offered. If you'd like to upgrade to the standard Disney Dining Plan, you can pay the difference in cost. The standard plan offers one Table-Service, one Quick-Service, and two snack credits (or non-alcoholic beverages) per night of your package. You can request this upgrade at the time of booking.

Happy Planning, Scott! I hope the next yEAR flies by so it will be your turn to experience all the magic and wonder of the Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news in the coming yEAR! It's always my go-to for the most up-to-date information about all Disney Destinations
