Planning to come Oct. '13 w/ 2 DDs (8 & 6) and DH. Trying to decide between AoA Little Mermaid room or AS Movie preferred room (101 Dalmatians per my kids). Pros and cons of each? Help! Love this panel!!!

Welcome back to the Moms Panel, Jessica! I would love to assist you in choosing a resort for your Walt Disney World vacation! October is one of my favorite times of the year to visit the "Happiest Place on Earth" due to the lower crowd levels, mild weather, fall decorations, and my favorite special event, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! I have personally stayed at both DIsney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. I enjoyed a lovely stay in The Little Mermaid standard guest room in December and loved the immersive storybook theming and attention to detail found throughout the entire resort! What I loved most about Disney's newest resort is the dedicated bus service (does not share with any other resort), The Big Blue Pool, and the whimsical guest rooms. Although I did not personally find it to be a negative, some guests feel the location of The Little Mermaid standard guest rooms can be a drawback as they are the most distant to The BIg Blue Pool, Landscape of Flavors, and the bus stop located in the front of the resort. I actually timed the walk from my guest room to Landscape of Flavors and found that it took approximately 7-8 minutes which was quite enjoyable with all of the beautiful landscaping and giant icons featured throughout the resort. The theming is also great at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort plus the preferred guest room traditionally gives guests the added benefit of being closer to the bus stop, main building. or feature pools. One thing you may want to consider is that bus service from DIsney's All-Star Movies Resort is also shared with Disney's All-Star Music Resort and DIsney's All-Star Sports Resort.  My vote would be The Little Mermaid standard guest room which is brand new and practically perfect for two little princesses! I hope this information helps in making your decision. Please feel free to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Jessica!
    Happy Planning,
