Ahoy Felisha!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel. How wonderful to hEAR you are planning a high seas adventure with your pirate crew!
What I love about cruising with Disney is that there is such a variety of entertainment and activities onboard for all ages from the youngest pirate-in-training to great grandmother pirate and everyone in between! It really gives everyone in your family the opportunity to enjoy their vacation in their own special way.
Since your oldest is 18 years old, he can now enjoy the adults exclusive areas of the ship like the
Quiet Cove Pool and my favorite dining rooms
Palo and
Remy. The
youth clubs are for pirates who are 17 years of age and younger, but your son may be interested in the 1820 Society.
The 1820 Society is a social group onboard each sailing that is coordinated by cruise staff for guests sailing that are 18, 19, or 20 years old. Have your son download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App on his personal device to check the daily schedules for these activities during your sailing. I recommend if he is interested in getting to know other guests onboard of his same age, to keep an eye on the Navigator App the first day of your vacation as the first event scheduled is typically an ice breaker and a great way to connect. Throughout the cruise he can attend 1820 Society social events, games and lunches!
Sail back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel for more navigational advice as you chart your course for a magical getaway!
