I am planning a 4-night cruise on the Disney Magic in February. I am vegan. Are there truly enough meat/dairy/egg/honey-free options for 4 days or should i bring a box of vegan protein bars? I dont want to eat only salad twice a day. Is there soy milk?

Welcome aboard, Heather! Your sailing on the Disney Magic this February is going to be a very special time. I hope you've been able to read about and see photos of the newly renovated Disney Magic and all of the exciting new spaces onboard! You're in for a treat!

Disney Cruise Line is wonderful about assisting guests in the dining rooms with substitutions. I would suggest that you give Disney Cruise Line a call at 800-951-3532 (or your travel agent) and ask that they note your reservation to show that you are vegan. This helps in the main dining restaurants, as your servers will be aware before you arrive and be better prepared to suggest alternate meal options for you. As they do for guests with allergies, it's suggested that you try to dine in the main restaurants as often as possible, as you'll find more substitution offerings available by speaking with the highly trained head servers there. I spoke with one agent at Disney Cruise Line who is a vegan herself, and she said that she has been very satisfied with the offerings available for her on the ships. She mentioned that she has especially enjoyed the Portobello mushroom-based options.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to bring along your own vegan protein bars when you set sail, Heather. Guests are welcome to bring pre-packaged snacks such as this onboard.

Soy milk is available in the main dining restaurants on the Magic too.

I hope that helps as you continue to plan your exciting sailing with Disney! Please let me know if you have other questions before you set sail in a few months, Heather!
