I am planning to use multiple Disney gift cards to buy park tickets and read somewhere that the cards have to be consolidated into one card number to be able to use when purchasing the actual park tickets. Is this true and can you direct me to that app?

    Hiya Sharon,

Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your gift card question. Disney Gift Cards are such a fun and practical way to sprinkle a little extra magic into your Disney World vacation. They can be used for so many things around the parks and resorts, like merchandise, dining, and yes, even theme park tickets. My family actually loves asking for Disney Gift Cards for birthdays and holidays, and we even use them to help pay for our Annual Passes. It makes every trip feel like a little celebration.

Now let’s jump right into your question. If you are purchasing your theme park tickets online, you are correct that only one Disney Gift Card can be used per transaction. But don’t worry, there is a super helpful workaround. You can combine multiple gift cards into one by visiting the Disney Gift Card website. Select “My Cards” and start entering your card information there. Just a reminder: you can combine up to 6 cards, and the total balance can go up to $1,000. It is such a great way to keep everything organized.

If you would rather not consolidate your cards, you also have the option of purchasing your tickets in person. You can visit a ticket window at the theme parks, Guest Relations at Disney Springs, or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. The wonderful Cast Members there can accept multiple gift cards along with other forms of payment right at the window. My family actually did this ourselves at Guest Relations just a couple of weeks ago, and it was quick and easy.

Sharon, I hope this helps answer your question and makes planning your magical visit a little easier. If you have any more questions, please feel free to stop by and see us again.

    See you real soon,

    Christina
