Hi Wanda, welcome to planDisney!
With so many great options, it is sometimes difficult to choose precisely which
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to stay at during a vacation. To solve this problem, some will do a "split stay." I've done this myself a few times in the past and find it is a great way to experience more of what the resort hotels have to offer. It's almost like having two vacations in one!
The good news is, that your arrival date is far enough away that you shouldn't have any cancellation or modification concerns. However, if you booked a
Walt Disney World Vacation Package as your first reservation, it's always a good idea to review the
Terms & Conditions (subject to change) prior to making any changes.
To accomplish a split stay, you will need two separate reservations as you cannot have more than one resort hotel on a single reservation. Before modifying the dates for your current reservation, I would suggest that you make a second reservation for the dates and resort hotel you wish to stay at for the second part of your vacation. Once that is complete, you can then modify the dates for the original resort reservation. You should be able to make the modification in My Disney Experience under "
My Plans." Scroll down to the resort hotel reservation and there will be a link to "Change Reservation." If you have any difficulty making this change, or, if you prefer to have a Cast Member make this change for you, you can call
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations.
Wanda, I hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if there is anything further we can assist you with as you plan your magical vacation.
