I am planning on going to MK on Feb. 2nd and there is an After Hours event at 10pm. The Happily Ever After Fireworks start at 9pm, will I be able to watch the fireworks or will I be kicked out due to the event?

Welcome to planDisney, Kathryn! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today.

I've got great news for you: you can absolutely stay and watch Happily Ever After! On your date in February, the fireworks are scheduled for 9:00 PM, which is also right at park closing for day guests. You won't need to leave the park before the show; the evening is designed for you to enjoy the fireworks and then make your way out afterward.

Here's how the flow works: Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom begins at 10:00 PM. Starting at the 9:00 PM park closing time, Cast Members will begin checking for After Hours wristbands at attraction entrances and in certain areas of the park. If you don't have an event ticket, you'll still be able to linger a bit to let the crowds move and browse Main Street, U.S.A. shops while you head toward the exit, but rides and select areas will be restricted to event guests. Think of 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM as a gentle transition period where fireworks are fair game for everyone, but attractions are not.

For a smooth evening, pick a viewing spot you love and plan to stay put through the finale. If you want a quick exit, aim for the end of Main Street near the train station, which still has great views and a quick path to the gates. If you'd rather soak up castle views, the hub area is a classic, just expect a slower exit. After the show, follow the flow of the crowd toward the front of the park. You can pop into the Emporium or the Main Street Confectionery on your way out! Shops typically remain open a bit after the fireworks so you can grab one last treat or souvenir.

I hope this answers your question, Kathryn, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
