I am planning for a May 2016 Disney Cruise to Alaska. My daughter will be 5+ at that time. Do children of that age go on 7 night cruises? Should I be concerned that it's too long for her? That never occurred to me until a coworker mentioned it.

    Ahoy, Danielle!

On our first Disney Cruise, my youngest daughter was 6. I was so happy that we had decided to take a 7-Night cruise since it took her about three full days to be totally comfortable in the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab. After that, we could barely get her out for meals!

Those first three days were full of family fun at the pools and time "trying" out the kids' clubs. While she enjoyed the activities, we would often get a phone call to come and pick her up soon after we left. Then, on the fourth day, she begged to go to the Oceaneer areas, and we didn't see her again until we came to pick her up in the afternoon!

I think you will find that a 7-Night cruise will be perfect for your entire family! When the end of our first cruise came, both my daughter and I cried when leaving the ship.

I hope you have a WONDERful time sailing to Alaska. Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions as your cruise gets closer.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
