Planning on making ADR at Chef Mickey for bkfst. We are not early risers. Is it worthwhile to leave the MK (non-EMH day) for a late bkfst, arrive at the park late morning, or pick a non-park day? Kids are very picky eaters, but love bkfst.

Hi Lori! I'm not normally an early-riser either, but at Disney World, I do make an effort to get started early each day. The crowds in the parks are so much lighter in the mornings that I find being one of the first families to enter the park makes for a more relaxing vacation. We are able to experience so many rides and attractions first thing in the morning with little to no waiting. Once the parks start filling up about midday, we head back to our resort for a swim and a nap. In my opinion, a reservation for breakfast at Chef Mickey's at 7:30 or 8:00 a.m. is ideal because it allows us to be at the park by 9:00 a.m.. However, if your family doesn't want to get moving that early in the morning, Chef Mickey's is a great destination on a non-park day. You can have a leisurely mid-morning breakfast and then head to the pool at your resort. If you want to combine your trip to Chef Mickey's with a visit to the Magic Kingdom and don't want to get up super early, book the latest breakfast seating possible so that you can have a few hours in the Magic Kingdom before breakfast. You'll be amazed at how many rides you'll be able to do first thing!

My kids are picky eaters too, but don't worry, there's something for everyone on the huge buffet at Chef Mickey's!

Hope you have a magical time! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
