We are planning to be at Magic Kingdom Oct 14, 2010. Will there be fireworks, and a parade that night?

    Thanks for writing us Martha!

I'm not sure if I have good or bad news for you...

I say that because YES, there will definitely be fireworks and a parade that evening, but it will be during Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP).  The party officially starts at 7:00pm, and all guests from the day will be asked to leave at that time.  The parades and fireworks will be later in the evening. A separate special-event ticket is required to attend the party

Please click HERE for more detail on the party, including party dates and pricing.

I personally think this is the best separate-ticket party that Disney puts on each year. With so many people in costumes, the trick o' treating, the amazing parade, spectacular fireworks, and relatively lower crowds, you can't help but have a very memorable evening!

If you do decide to attend, you should know that you will usually be allowed to enter the Magic Kingdom at 4:00pm with your MNSSHP ticket.  My favorite strategy is to sleep in on the day of MNSSHP and enjoy the resort through early afternoon.  Then change the kids into costumes and head over to the party around 4:00, so we have some extra time for rides before the party starts.  Please also plan for a late morning the next day, as these tend to be late evenings (hard to leave, when you're having so much fun!).

Hope that helps (and hope it was good news!)!
