Hi I am planning to take my little sister to The Magic Kingdom for her 8th birthday as a surprise. I am wondering do you still get a free ticket on your birthday? I'm asking because her birthday is June 8th and that's the day we are going to the park.

    Hi Adrianna,

What a wonderful gesture to take your little sister to Walt Disney World (WDW)! I remember the promotion you are talking about where you would get free ticket if you attended one of the parks on your birthday. Back in 2009 Disney introduced the "What will you Celebrate?" promotion where you could get a free ticket to the park when you attended on your birthday. While I wish they still had that promotion going on since, TODAY IS my birthday and I totally would head down there just for that; they stopped that awesome perk a few years ago...

What you could do when you arrive is pickup a Birthday Button at any one of the theme parks' guest services or if you are a Walt Disney World Resort guest, at the front desk. If you are staying at a WDW Resort, you can also dial "0" on your resort phone and have a birthday message sent to your room for your sister.

I hope you have a fabulous day and thank you so much for asking the Moms Panel!
