Greetings, Joanna, and welcome to planDisney! I'm delighted you stopped by with this question. Your visit to
Walt Disney World Resort is coming up soon, and it sounds like you have a full holiday planned. Spending time at all four Theme Parks is a fabulous idea, and with little ones in tow, you're sure to make some magical memories. On my most recent visit, I walked about eight miles in one day, so you're wise to give your tots a break by renting a stroller. Let's check into your stroller options!
I'm happy to share that
double strollers are available for daily rental at the four Theme Parks and the
Disney Springs shopping district. Since availability is first-come, first serve, I'd suggest arriving at the park entrance early each day to ensure you get the double stroller you need. Strollers must stay inside the theme park, but one tip is to save your receipt because if you have the
Park Hopper Option on your tickets, your rental is valid for all parks you visit that day. You'd just pick up another stroller at your second park.
Joanna, you'll also have the option to pre-pay for a double stroller for your length of stay. I spoke with a friendly Cast Member who said you should be able to do this on the first day you rent a stroller. This will save you some time each morning, but it still wouldn't guarantee specific availability; I'd still advise going early each day to grab that stroller.
A final recommendation that would guarantee a stroller for your stay is to rent a stroller from
ScooterBug, a private company that's a Featured Disney Provider for strollers and scooters. You can contact them, and they'll deliver your stroller to your Disney Resort Hotel. Remember that you'll need to fold it up when using some of the
complimentary transportation services, but this would be a great plan if you think you'll need a stroller outside the theme parks.
I hope you plan to spend some time in Storybook Circus in Fantasyland at
Magic Kingdom Park. Your little ones will be amazed at
Dumbo the Flying Elephant; the interactive queue is often as much fun as the attraction! You can also meet your favorite characters dressed as their circus alter-egos at
Pete's Silly Sideshow, and my son always loved hopping aboard the
Walt Disney World Railroad there and chug-chugging around the park.
Joanna, I hope your upcoming trip is full of happy children with well-rested legs. Since you'll be pushing their stroller around, plan a spa day for yourself! Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
