Welcome to planDisney, Jemabelle! Oh boy! There is no better place to celebrate a birthday than at the Happiest Place on Earth! I have some magical ideas that will make your granddaughter's first birthday the best day ever!
Jemabelle, if your granddaughter is a fan of my pal Mickey, you have to start your magical day off with a character breakfast! You can have a fantastic breakfast with characters at
Goofy's Kitchen at The Disneyland Hotel, Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet at Storyteller's Cafe located at Disney's Grand Californian Resort & Spa, or with Minnie & Friends at
Plaza Inn on Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Park. If you wish to dine with princesses, look no further than the
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose Restaurant, located at the Grand Californian. All of these magical restaurants highly suggest making reservations ahead of time, and kindly keep note that character appearances are subject to change!
Next, you can order a celebration cake ahead of time to be delivered to your table! You can add a Mickey celebration cake to your reservation online at least 3 days in advance of your reservation. These delicious cakes feed up to six people and can be decorated with a "Happy Birthday!" message for your little princess. Check out the
list of restaurants throughout Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure Park that have this magical cake delivery.
Finally, when you arrive at Disneyland Park, stop by City Hall and pick up a blue "Happy Birthday!" button for your little princess, and green "I'm Celebrating!" buttons for everyone else! You never know when you'll get an extra sprinkle of pixie dust added to your visit just by donning these buttons!
Jemabelle, I hope all of these suggestions help you plan the most magical visit for your granddaughter. May it be the best birthday ever, full of pixie dust and magic!
