Hi Stijn! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm excited to hear that you're planning a holiday to the
Walt Disney World Resort later this year! Before you know it, you'll be hopping from park to park enjoying all the magical experiences that await.
Choosing to stay in a
Disney Resorts Hotel is one of the best decisions you can make. There are countless perks that come along with it, including Early Theme Park Entry and complimentary transportation to and from the parks each day.
When booking your resort hotel and park tickets together, your ticket package will need to match the number of days you will be staying onsite. For example, if you book a 7-night, 8-day resort stay, you'll need to include an
8-day park ticket. On top of that, you'll need to select the Park Hopper Option to qualify for the free dining plan promotion.
While you may not necessarily need an 8-day park ticket, the cost to book your resort reservation and ticket package ends up being much more. I plugged in the numbers and the cost to book a 7-night stay along with a 5-day park hopper ticket comes out to a similar price, but you'll be losing out on three extra days in the parks and the free dining plan promo. In order to receive the best value, I highly suggest booking your package together and receiving all the extra benefits that come along with it.
By opting for more park days, you'll now have the chance to visit the parks each day of your stay. I've always found this extremely helpful and allowed me to take things a bit slower each day knowing that I had more opportunities to come back if we didn't get to everything we wanted. It also allowed me to not feel bad just popping into the
Magic Kingdom one evening to see the nighttime spectacular without visiting the parks earlier in the day. It was nice using the extra time as a bonus to our trip.
Stijn, on top of it all, receiving a free
Disney Dining Plan as part of the package is the icing on the cake. If you opt to stay in a Moderate or Value Resort, you'll receive the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan. If you upgrade to a Deluxe Resort, the Disney Dining Plan will come included. This option opens up your choices of dining locations and includes a table-service meal each night.
I hope this information helps you plan for your stay!
