Welcome to planDisney, Gregory! What a magical trip you're planning with so much to celebrate at the Walt Disney World Resort this spring! I'm so excited for your entire family to embrace the magic and celebrate first trips and birthdays together! Let's talk about all the special things you can look into for some extra special celebratory fun!
First, be sure to visit
Guest Relations at any park or the front desk of your
Disney Resort hotel and ask the Cast Members for complimentary celebration buttons! They have both
First Visit and
Happy Birthday buttons that they can also personalize for you to wear so that others can share in your celebrations throughout your vacation! You can also take these buttons to the
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom Park or
Disney's Days of Christmas in Disney Springs to have them artfully personalized by a calligraphy artist for a fee.
Next, I'd look into planning a special meal for your family - your younger mouseketeers would probably love to dine with some of their favorite Disney pals at a character dining experience - check out brunch at
Topolino's Terrace at Disney's Riviera Resort or dinner at
Garden Grill Restaurant in EPCOT (these are my two favorites!) If you're looking for a more upscale dinner for your wife's birthday that's still family-friendly, check out
Narcoosee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. It has an elegant atmosphere, amazing food, and (in my opinion) the best waterfront view of the Magic Kingdom nightly fireworks from outside of the theme park. As an added bonus, if you time your reservation just right, you can step onto the wrap-around porch to enjoy those fireworks and the
Electrical Water Pageant.
Another suggestion would be to purchase
Memory Maker so you can have unlimited downloads of all your vacation photos. If your wife is anything like me, capturing all the magical moments on camera is one of the best souvenirs from a family vacation. The
Disney PhotoPass Studio also offers you an opportunity to stop by for some family photos (there's no fee to take the photos and no reservation is required!), or you can also book a
Capture Your Moment photo session in one of the theme parks (this extra does charge a fee for the 30-minute photo session). I'd also recommend checking out all of the unique
Enchanting Extras experiences to see if there are any that may be a fun fit for your family!
Gregory, I hope this helps! I'm sure you'll find the very best way to celebrate is by being together in the Most Magical Place on Earth! Enjoy all the magical moments that await you and your family, and come back to
planDisney anytime if we can help again!
Wishing you a magical celebration,
Alison
