Hello Laura!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you are planning to return to the
Walt Disney World Resort this summer. After a challenging year, so many of us are excited to begin traveling again!
I am also a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder. Due to the closure of the parks last year, Annual Passes were first extended for the number of days that the parks were closed. Later, an additional month was added to everyone’s Annual Pass. Passholders were also given the opportunity to request a pro-rated refund on their Annual Pass. Unfortunately, the sale of new Annual Passes has been paused at this time, and there hasn’t been an announcement as to when sales will resume. Those wishing to renew their Annual Pass, may do so if they are 60 days before or 30 days after expiration. If your Annual Pass was originally timed to expire last June, it would have remained valid until sometime in November, and you would have had the ability to renew up to 30 days after that. Since you are outside that window, you won’t be able to purchase or renew an Annual Pass.
I’m sorry that probably wasn’t the news you were hoping for Laura, but there may be a
special offer available this summer that might work for you. Check out the
Get 2 Days Added Promotion. For eligible Guests staying at a
Disney Resort Collection Hotel who stay at least 4 nights and purchase a 4-Day theme park ticket, they will get 2 extra theme park days added to their ticket!
I hope maybe this gives you another ticket option, Laura. Please let us know what additional questions you have as you plan your trip, we are here to help!
