    i am planning to go to mickeys christmas party. i am just wanting to go to the party and not for the day. do i have to buy a regular ticket also and how early can i get to the park

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's always great when I can assist a fellow Georgian!

    The holiday season is my favorite time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. I'm so happy to hEAR you are planning to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party during your November trip! When attending the festive Special Event, my family never visits a park earlier that same day. We prefer to sleep in and enjoy a relaxing morning and afternoon at our Disney Resort hotel so that we can stay up for the entire party. 

    You will be happy to know that Guests do not need a regular theme park ticket in addition to their Special Event ticket. You will only need to purchase the Special Event ticket for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Historically, Guests have been allowed to enter Magic Kingdom Park beginning at 4:00 p.m. with their Special Event ticket.
