Disney's
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is my family's most crucial
"Must Do!" activity of any trip to Walt Disney World. We have been enough times now that I expect my daughters could audition for roles there!
My suggested route to/from
Disney's Pop Century Resort to the Fort Wilderness area is to take a bus from the resort to the
Magic Kingdom Park, then
boat from there to Fort Wilderness. The boat ride should take about 15 minutes, though you may have to wait for a boat to arrive. To return home, just reverse the route.
As to bus availability, most nights in September the Magic Kingdom will be open to 10 pm or later. That means the buses back to Pop Century will be running at least until 11 pm. I would suggest that the 6:15 pm showing is a better option for you, as you will know for sure that a return bus service will be available. But even if you opt for the later 8:30 show, you are likely to still be OK on the nights of September 20, 23, 25, 27, 29 and 30. Those are evenings when the Magic Kingdom hosts
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, typically until midnight, which ensures you bus service well past the time that you would need it.
BONUS TIPDisney recommends that you plan an hour and a half travel time to get to the Revue. I think that is a wise suggestion. If you have any extra time on your hands before or after dinner, consider visiting the nearby
Settlement Trading Post. This resort store has some really fun souvenirs, including resort-specific shirts.
