Hi Sharon!
Congratulations on your upcoming Disney Cruise! I'm sure you are ready for your vacation dreams to become a reality with Mickey and his sea-faring crew!
Disney Cruise Line does operate on a
cash-free system. When you check-in at the port you will provide a credit card to the cast member to be used for all your purchases while you are at sea. Your "Key to the World" card will serve as your stateroom key and credit card during your cruise. You can obtain a copy of your onboard charges at anytime at Guest Services. I would recommend bringing some cash with you for the porters at the cruise terminal, room service tips, and for adventures off the ship in the ports of call.
Disney Cruise Line does its best to include everyone in the activities onboard. Please read over the
Guests with Disabilities information on the website. Make sure to let a Reservation Agent know at (800) 951-3532 about your son's needs ahead of time so it can be noted on your reservation. When you board the ship, visit the Oceaneer Club & Lab during its Open House hours to speak with the youth counselors about your son's specific situation. They will be able to let you know which activities might work best for him while onboard.
Thanks again for visiting the Moms Panel. If there are any other questions I can help you with before you set sail, please let me know!
Have a magical day and a wonderful cruise vacation!
Nancy
