Planning a girls' trip to Disney's Hilton Head Resort in May. We're bringing our daughters ages 17-21. Suggestions for must-do activities, restaurants, tours, sightseeing? We'll have our own car for exploration outside of Hilton Head.

Hi Staci! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Nothing beats a girls trip, especially one to Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort! May is the perfect time for a sunny vacation on the South Carolina shore along with the extra magic that you can always expect from Disney. You can spend a day of fun in the sun with your toes in the sand by using the Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort beach shuttle. During your stay you can enjoy fishing and crabbing with the use of fishing gear and crabbing nets available for rent at the resort. Another activity that would be fun for everyone is joining a Cast Member for singing, story-telling, marshmallow-roasting, campfire fun. On the more adventurous side, your 17 year old may be interested in participating in the teen kayaking adventure through Broad Creek. You will want to check with the front desk upon your arrival for a complete list of activities being offered at your resort during your stay. You can find out the seasonal themed dining options available during your stay by calling 843-341-4100 around 45 days prior to your reservation or check out Signals, a Quick Service option that also offers picnic lunches.

Some fun activities to do in the local Hilton Head area that your group may enjoy include climbing the Harbour Town Lighthouse, taking a guided kayak nature or dolphin tour, stand-up paddle boarding, and Island Skiff Adventure tours. You can find out more about these activities by visiting the Hilton Head Welcome website. If there are any wine enthusiasts in your group, consider stopping by the Island Winery Tasting room to sample some Low Country Specialty Wines.

I hope that you ladies have a fabulous vacation on the beautiful Atlantic Coast!
