Hi Katelyn,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! There is a lot for your 1-year-old to experience at the Walt Disney World Resort. My favorite park to visit with my three children (ages 6, 2, and 1) is Magic Kingdom Park. During our family’s most recent visit to the Magic Kingdom, we spent most of our time in Fantasyland and the recently expanded
New Fantasyland. New Fantasyland's Storybook Circus area is home to Dumbo The Flying Elephant, which offers an air-conditioned circus-themed play area to keep children entertained before you take flight. My boys love it!
Your children can also play at
Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station in Storybook Circus. This is a great place to cool off on a warm summer day. There are several play areas similar to Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station around the other theme parks, such as The Boneyard at Disney's Animal Kingdom. These areas are perfect for kids to run and climb.
Each of the four parks offers slow rides for Guests of all ages to enjoy. If you plan to visit Epcot, Journey Into Imagination With Figment and The Seas with Nemo & Friends are great attractions to visit. My children love spending time at
The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion. The 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium is a favorite part of our entire family, and the marine biology activities around the pavilion are fun for little ones.
I hope this helps you with your planning. Please be sure to send me any follow-up questions about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World. I enjoy helping families with young children plan their Disney vacations.
Have a magical day!
Bob
