    I am planning our first WDW trip and am staying 5/4/12-5/11/12 with a family of four, including 4 yr old son, 9 yr old daughter, and grammy and pap. Any suggestions on an itenerary for first timers to best utilize our time?? We did not get hopper passes.

    Stephanie,

    I am going to guess you are not going to parks on your arrival or departure day. If that is wrong we can go back and make some minor edits in a follow-up question. That being said, here is where I would go;

    • May 4 - Arrival Day
    • May 5 - Magic Kingdom
    • May 6 - Animal Kingdom
    • May 7 - Epcot
    • May 8 - Magic Kingdom
    • May 9 - Hollywood Studios
    • May 10 - Magic Kingdom
    • May 11 - Departure Day
    I think you need more days at the Magic Kingdom than other parks, and I love being there on the first and last park days. I also like having you avoid the Extra Magic Hours at that busier time of year, and because you are corralling multiple generations. Oh, and for this first trip, with smaller kids, I think that you are fine without the Park Hopper option. Just plan into each day that you would come back to your resort for nap and pool time, if you are staying nearby.

    This is a good starting point. Write me back and we can discuss arrival day and departure day plans next! Later we can move on to meal ideas, if you wish!

    Have a magical vacation!
