I am planning our first WDW trip for September 2016 and we will be staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Since this time frame is typically considered a low peak time of season, has anyone had issues booking the resort 6 months prior to your stay?

Hi, Nicole!  It is so difficult to predict whether or not a specific resort or a room type will be available when you go to book it.  I have had luck getting the rooms and resorts I wanted during Christmas week with only a month of advanced planning, and I've had to be a bit flexible with my resort options when planning further out.

If I had to make an educated guess, if Disney's Caribbean Beach resort isn't available, you should be able to find a moderate resort room open.  Things that might impact your ability to get the room you want would include special promotional offers, such as free dining, which can encourage people to vacation at a time of year that is usually considered an off peak season.

With the way my husband has always worked, we've had to book last minute vacations more than a time or two so that we had our exact dates pinned down.  It can be a bit frustrating playing the waiting game, hoping the rooms you want will be available.  I would say as soon as you have your dates locked in, book that room!

    Good luck, Nicole!
