Hello, we are planning our first visit in July of 2012. We will be traveling with a 2 year old and a 5 year old. Our group totals 6 adults and 2 children. What is the difference in the Dexule Resorts and the Villas? What would be best for our group?

Hi, Candice!  The biggest difference you are likely to find between the deluxe resorts and the villas is the villas offer a more home away from home type of atmosphere.  In the studio villas, you will have a small refrigerator, microwave, and a sink area.  If you get a villa that is one bedroom or larger, you will have a full kitchen - including all the appliances, pots, pans, and utensils; a washer and dryer; a living room with pull out sleeper sofa; and a separate bedroom area.

In terms of amenities, since some of the villas are associated with deluxe resorts, you have easy access to things like table service dining locations.  Even at the resorts that are only Disney Vacation Club villas, you will find a gift shop and table service dining.

The rooms at the deluxe resorts are very comfortable, with queen sized beds.  You'll also find a small refrigerator in each of the rooms, which is a great way to make sure you leave with a cold water in the morning or have a small snack before you go to bed.

You can't go wrong with either type of accommodation, but when we travel, I love the extra amenities in the villas.  I like having the washer and dryer so I don't have to pack as much (saves on luggage fees!), and I also prefer to fix a small breakfast in the morning to save a little time and money.

    Have a great vacation!
