We are planning our first trip to WDW in Sept. 2012 and plan on staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort. The preferred rooms are all sold out for the dates we will be there. Is it possible to book a standard room and request a building close to everything?

Hey Lena! Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World Vacation this September!  You are going to love visiting the "Happiest Place on Earth!"  I have personally stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort before and loved the tropical theming. The guest rooms at this Disney Moderate Resort are arranged into 6 villages - Trinidad North, Trinidad South, Martinique, Barbados, Aruba and Jamaica. Although the preferred rooms are sold out for your dates, you are more than welcome to make a room request. You can go ahead and put your request in when booking your reservation. I would also recommend calling the Resort directly 4-10 days prior to your arrival and ask for "back office" or "room assignments."  You can make sure that they have your room request correct on your reservation at that time and follow up with any specific room request questions. Disney does try their best to honor room requests, but they are not guaranteed.  After booking a standard room, you can always check back to see if any preferred rooms become available and modify your reservation. I hope this helps!  Please let me know if I can offer you any additional information for your September Trip!  I would love to assist you in planning a Magical First Walt Disney World Vacation!
    Happy Planning,
