Planning our first trip to WDW (January 2010) and there are no park hours listed for January even though everything we've read says the park hours are listed 6 months in advance. How do we find out the hours and EMH so we can make dining reservations? Thx

Disney has been tinkering with their dining reservation window a lot lately, so bear with me while I try to explain.

For most of 2008 and several years prior to that, Disney allowed meal reservations to be made up to 180 days in advance. To assist guests with their planning, the park calendars (including park hours) were also posted approximately six months in advance.

In late 2008, the reservation window was changed to 90 days, with the park calendars being posted about three months in advance. This is what you are currently seeing. Since it is now August, the calendars given for the current month and the next three months out (up until November). This gives guests with trips planned during the reservation window to have the information they need to arrange their meals.

Last week, Disney announced that they will be going back to the 180 day booking window. This change will take place on October 27, 2009. At that time, they will again post six months worth of calendars. (Confusing, I know.)

In your particular case, you aren't really impacted by the change. The dining reservation window for most trips in January 2010 opens in October, prior to the change back to 180 days. Since this is the case, you can expect that the January 2010 calendars will post on approximately October 1, 2009.

In meantime, I would figure out which restaurants you want to try, you'll just need to wait until October to figure out which day you'll be experiencing each of them.

    Good luck!
