Planning our first trip to WDW from Dec 16-21st but we are arriving from overseas late on 16th. We will be tired and jetlagged for the first few days; are meeting g.parents and sister's family. 4 adults and kids age 4,7 and 7. Itinerary suggestions?

Hi, Carey!  The best tip I ever got during my travels back and forth from the US and Europe was to stay on local time.  Even though you may feel like going to bed because you are tired and jet lagged, go to bed at what your normal bedtime would be.  Get your eight hours of good sleep in, and wake up ready to start the day the next morning.

You don't say how many days you plan to be in the parks or how many days you are going to be meeting family, so it's a little tough to help with the itinerary.  I would suggest that you do the Magic Kingdom early in your trip, so that you can be sure to avoid some of the early holiday crowds.  Another thing you might consider is taking advantage of the extra magic hours at the theme parks - especially if you are having trouble falling asleep!

If you'd like to get back to me and let me know how many of your days are park days, I can help you build an itinerary that may work for your family!

    Have a magical vacation!
