We are planning our first trip in September. Could you please give a sample itinerary for a day at Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom. We are taking our daughter. She will be 32 months old when we go.

    Hi Brandi,

We only have a limited amount of space here, so I can't give you full itinerary, but I can fill you in on some resources that can help. The book The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World (available at bookstores, Amazon, and probably your local library) has a specific touring plans for each age group at each of the Disney parks. These plans are optimized for guests who want to spend the least amount of time waiting in line. The book and its online companion, touringplans.com, do a great job of telling you which order to go on rides to cut down on your wait time. In my opinion, they are well worth the minimal purchase investment.

Beyond that, let me tell you which attractions were my daughters' favorite when they were preschoolers.

At the Magic Kingdom: Country Bear Jamboree, character greetings, character meals, Peter Pan, the carousel, Winnie the Pooh, small world, the tea cups, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise.

At the Animal Kingdom: Lion King show, character greetings, character meals, Nemo show, Kilimanjaro Safari, Flights of Wonder, Pangani Forest Trail, the Affection Section at Conservation Station.

I'd be happy to tell you more about any of these specific attractions.
