Planning our first trip May 2022 with our three kids. How in advance should I book?

    Hi Sally,

I'm super, duper excited that you and your family are going to get to experience The Most Magical Place on Earth together for the first time! You and your kiddos are going to have so much fun and make memories that you'll all cherish for years to come! Plus, between the mild weather, smaller crowds, and fun special events like the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, May is a wonderful time to visit!

My advice? Book your vacation package as soon as you're decided when you want to go and where you want to stay! I'd hate for you to get your heart set on a particular Resort hotel, and then find that it's no longer available. Of course, please check the cancellation policies, but with so many Guests excited to Return to a World of Magic, I think you'll feel better knowing that your place in the magic is reserved and confirmed!

If you need help putting together an itinerary that's, in the words of Mary Poppins, "Practically perfect in every way," I'd encourage you to use this handy dandy Resort comparison tool and helpful ticketing guide. Please keep in mind, too, that dining reservations will open up 60 days ahead of time, and all Guests with confirmed Disney Resort hotel reservations have the added benefit of being able to make their dining reservations for the entire length of their stay (up to 10 days) at that 60-day point. That will be a huge benefit if you're wanting to book some of the more popular restaurants!

Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, Sally, and please feel free to come back with any additional questions you may have. I hope you and your family have a truly magical vacation next year!
